the location We are near Lauris (2 km), a village located in the center of Luberon Natural Park ; at 5 km from Lourmarin and 35 km from Aix en Provence ; it is a warm and confortable cottage in the large and unfenced owners' garden (3000 m2), with a private corner for you and a small tiled swimming-pool in summer, shared with the owners. It's a very quiet place, in a beautiful scenery, in open nature. You can walk around in the countryside.

the holiday house The cottage is 42 m2 and can accomodate 1 to 5 persons ; it has 2 main rooms : the living room facing your private garden corner, with a well equipped kitchen (including a dish-washer) and a sofa-bed for 2. In the bedroom, there are two beds (one double bed and a single bed with good-quality mattresses) ; modern bathroom ; central heating. Both rooms look south on a beautiful and open view : olive trees, hills....
No-smoking rental : everybody is welcome, we just ask to you not to smoke inside. Thank-you for understanding.
particular : the roof is equipped with a solar power-station (in french) providing the whole electric energy needed by both location and house. Electric comfort is unchanged. See also our wood central heating (in french). There is aso a wood stove, and an Internet access all day. Sorry, animals are not allowed.

the village and its surroundings
Lauris is a typically provencal village in the Vaucluse area, on top of a cliff between Durance river and Luberon ; a strategic center for excursions in Luberon National Park, to discover : - picturesque villages such as Lourmarin (5km), Cucuron (14 km), Gordes or Roussillon (20 km), - a vineyard tour, a castle tour, wonderful romanesque abbeys (Sénanque, Sylvacane), - nice wilderness for walking, horse riding or cycling, - typical country markets - .... half an hour drive : Aix en Provence, Salon, Apt or Cavaillon one hour drive : Marseille, Avignon, Les Baux de Provence one hour and half : Camargue, the sea, ... You can also leave your car at home and go directly for a walk.
